What Does Sustainable Living Mean

Sustainable means able to be maintained or look after. What does sustainable living mean? Simply put - it means living a lifestyle that looks after or maintains the enviroment.

Everyday we are faced with choices that directly impact the environment. Do we take the car to work or can we find another mode of transportation; such as, walking, taking the bus, car pooling. How about around the home. Do we recycle, compost, reduce water waste, etc.

It takes a desire and a belief that the choices we make can affect the environment in a positive way. Time, a willingness to learn a better way of doing things, putting in the work (it is not easy to break a lifetime of bad habits), is just a small part of what we must do.
