The NAWAPA Project being promoted by www.Larouchepac.com is a dead horse that has no reason to be resurrected.
The diversion of Canada’s rivers into the desert southwestern United States is nothing other than the export of Canada’s freshwater wealth. This proposed megaproject is not considered to be COST EFFECTIVE. It has little political support in Canada, makes no economic sense, would have an enormous negative ecological impact, and would cause immeasurable social problems if executed. Furthermore, the Canadian position on the North American Free Trade Agreement is to exempt water exports, in part specifically to pre-empt any attempted completion of the NAWAPA project.

Pleasure Tammy and thank you for reading and commenting. There's a lot of us campaigning in our own small way, raising awareness through fact and experience.

I don't care much for stats and pie charts, I can see and feel changes every year. I have watched the seasons change dramatically over the past decade especially and noticed how odd weather systems have become all around the world.

If it's not climate change causing these planetary alterations I'd love to hear the explanation as to what is.

Thank you Jacob for speaking out about this issue which has to be addressed now! Nothing else matters if we destroy our planet with our neglect and abuse. If anyone denies Global warming and the resulting climate changes then they have had their heads in the sand and have paid no attention to what is so obviously happening all around us. Like the recorded melting of the Arctic Ice Shelf, therefore carrying/pushing colder air down to warmer climates is one example that is causing so many larger more intense and devastating storms. As a gardener for many years now, I have watched the weather closely...It is changing and it is scary. And this should be apparent to everyone; I have noticed on the highway home from our small city (area pop.aprox.150,000) to the country community where I live, that as soon as we leave the city limits the temperature drops very noticably by several degrees immediately! That is proof that we are warming the planet. When I see those giant oil fires burning, the huge plumes of factory smokestacks and the maps of so many airline flights, I wonder...And I think/beg, dear God help us all~*~ Love you Mr.Jacob Bane :) and Thanks again!
